Lookbook No. 3
Nashville
Visit Nashville on the cusp of their growth spurt; this quickly expanding city still has a deeply artistic heart.
Published May 2017 (out of print)
Our third issue explores the juxtaposition between Southern tradition and creative ingenuity in the makers’ community of Nashville. Many of the makers interviewed are finding new ways to pursue hand-making and stay true to the city’s roots. Meet a bookbinder who uses fabric, handmade paper and leather for hand-stitched volumes; a bespoke boot maker who carries on centuries-old traditions; a musician who has discovered a love for leathercrafting. Fiber and fabric are abundant—in expansive and welcoming yarn shops, the backyard studios of local yarn dyers and alpaca farms nestled just outside this booming southern town.
